Mashable just kicked off the 2nd annual Open Web Awards, an international online voting competition that covers major innovations in web technology. Through an online nominating and voting process, the Open Web Awards recognizes and honors the top achievements in 26 categories.

T-Mobile recently launched the first Google Android powered mobile phone called G1. It's a great mobile phone with a ton of features, a full keyboard, a big touchscreen and a rising number of great applications. I got one the day it was launched and I have to say that I am very impressed, so if you don't have an iPhone yet and consider a new phone then I can absolutely recommend the new G1.

Even if I don't like to refer to JAJAH as a VoIP provider it is what we provide through our backend infrastructure and you can use JAJAH with your G1. I recently stumbled over this great compilation of "Top Social Media Network Sites" by Dkumar at instantShift. It's a comprehensive overview of top blog, wiki, video/picture sharing, social bookmark, music, forum, instant messaging, VoIP, and social networking sites (there are even more categories).

What caught my eye was the 'VoIP tools' section and made me realize that 3 out of the top 5 VoIP tools are already powered by JAJAH. Chen just forwarded me a nice profile piece about JAJAH from the current issue (Sep 2008) of PM Network by Sarah Fister Gale. PM Network is a monthly publication by the Project Management Institute. The article describes how JAJAH has grown over the years and what steps haven been taken and what tools have been used from a project management perspective.
