Now if only they could get this thing up without the assistance of a small jet engine and added stabilizer attached to the fuselage...Still amazing to watch though :)

It Needs a computer automated giro stabilizer device to keep it level. is something that cannot be manually piloted without computer aid. I would have held this event in the salt flats where they race experimental cars and then move on to channel crossings!

Pity still the Schmid 1942 Ornithopter already has got to the air in Germany , love to see a video of that but I have seen the model of this Ornithopter work and I rekon with a more pwerful engine it will work and we don't need to wait 12,000 years from now it can work NOW, good luck

Needs more control over the shape of the wings

Smaller orinthopters actually look indistinguishable from birds from a bit of distance

It potentially has more advantages. Greater maneuverability, vertical take off and landing, and more.
