Woodcut animation makes a traditional tale to keep children awake at night. A 5 minute animated film, directed by Ben Mars. Based on a folk tale sometimes called Little Dog Turpie and the Hobyahs / Hobyar men, the animation style is inspired by German Expressionist woodcuts and the drawings of John D. Batten in Joseph Jacobs' Fairy Tales Books. |
